Piet Mondrian Inspired Artworks

Room 6 have been learning about fractions in Maths. While searching for a way to incorporate maths with art we came across and were inspired by a famous Dutch Artist Piet Mondrian.

We divided our paper into all the same sized units then we used whole, halves and quarters to paint certain colours. We learnt about and painted the three primary colours, red, yellow and blue and we also used the shade, black and the tint, white.

We used padlet to write up our success criteria and discussed with a partner how well we achieved it.
We hope you enjoy our art.
